Looking for a BIM modelling software to deal with historic building renovation projects?

Discover Edificius, the most advanced BIM software technology applied to existing and historical buildings renovation and retrofitting.

HBIM (Historic BIM): Edificius revolutionises the digitisation of existing and historical buildings.

The acronym HBIM (Historic Building Information Modelling) specifies the application of the BIM methodology for the modelling of historical buildings, management of alteration and degradation surveys and the assisted design of interventions for restoration, recovery, protection and maintenance of the existing heritage.

Modelling of historical buildings | Edificius | ACCA software
Vaults modelling and design | Edificius | ACCA software

Vaults

Edificius makes easy to model vaults, domes and arches. You can model different types of vaults using new specific objects (barrel, rampant barrel, asymmetrical barrel, pavilions, polygonal-based pavilion, cross, polygonal-based cross, domes, lunettes/holes, horizontal cut and vertical cut planes).

Rib design | Edificius | ACCA software

Ribs

With the 'Rib' object, you can automatically insert a ribbed reinforcement profile on any edge of the vault, both at the soffit or extrados, using the magic wand tool.

Wooden floor decks | Edificius | ACCA software

Wooden floor decks

Create and customise wooden floor decks, specifying all the essential aspects such as thickness, cross-section, beam spacing and rotation.

Design niches | Edificius | ACCA software

Niches

Create and customise niches in which you can also insert windows or doors.

Orthophoto

Edificius allows you to associate an orthophoto with a building element and represent two-dimensional elevations of architectural elements and façade mappings.

With Edificius you can associate an orthophoto with a building element and:

  • produce a faithful representation of the existing building
  • represent entire façades with material related information
  • take advantage of a specific editor to position BIM objects or identify damaged areas or areas of decay in two-dimensional elevations of existing buildings

Damages and degradation areas

Edificius allows you to associate an orthophoto with a building element and represent two-dimensional elevations of architectural elements and façade mappings.

You can recreate the crack pattern of the existing building easily and intuitively, even directly from orthophotos. Choose between different types and thicknesses and follow the building's cracks with the "brush" tool. In the same way and with the same tool you can identify entire areas of decay.

Damaged areas and areas of deterioration are not just graphical representations but BIM objects that can provide all the necessary data and information relating to the crack pattern.
