BIM Quantity Takeoff Software

Levantamento de Quantidades de modelos BIM

Quantity Take-Off from IFC

The software that allows you to extract accurate metric data directly from the project's BIM model.

PriMus IFC is the bim quantity software that allows you to extract accurate metric data directly from the project's BIM model.

With PriMus IFC open and view any BIM model in the IFC file format, the worldwide standard used by major BIM software solutions such as: Edificius, Revit®, ArchiCAD®, Allplan® and many other BIM Authoring applications.

Acquire quantities and measurements directly from the BIM Objects, associate each object with a rate item and instantly get a detailed cost estimate of the entire project. The cost estimate is continuously updated with each variation introduced in the BIM Model or the reference Price List.

Construction Cost Estimating Database

With PriMus you get free access to an extensive Costruction Cost Estimating Database of price books and online price lists with over 6 million items, materials and prices for building and plant engineering works.

  • Use our integrated procedures for converting your own licensed Price Lists and Price Books to PriMus compatible file formats.
  • Or simply ask us to convert your price book or reference price list if not available in the online database or if the conversion procedure is not available in PriMus.

BIM Quantity Takeoff and Construction estimating

BIM Quantity Takeoff and Construction estimating from a BIM model or 3D CAD file is now automatic thanks to PriMus-IFC

With the PriMus IFC software you can open the IFC standard format, deriving from a BIM or 3D CAD model of an architectural, structural or even a plant-engineering project, and get the relating bill of quantities data automatically from the 3D models.

PriMus IFC saves all construction estimate data in PriMus’ standard .DCF format but also allows the surveyor to export to the Word® DOCX and Excel® XLSX file formats.

IFC BIM Viewer

IFC BIM Viewer

PriMus IFC opens BIM models or 3D CAD files in the standard IFC file format, and allows the user to view the 3D model of the file with all the related information useful for preparing a construction estimate or quantity take-off.

The imported BIM or 3D CAD model can be viewed and managed with PriMus IFC without the need to install any external viewers or plugins.

A visual construction estimate

A visual construction estimate or quantity take-off from IFC files

PriMus IFC automatically reads all the necessary measurements directly from the objects used in the BIM or 3D CAD models saved in the standard IFC format.

A single software that integrates advanced construction estimating functionalities together with the graphical representation of the BIM or 3D CAD model allowing you to operate with simplicity and precision… with the advantage to be able to constantly verify which elements in the BIM model or 3D CAD file have been accounted for and which haven’t, keeping everything under control in real time.

Updated construction estimate

A continuously updated construction estimate

The PriMus IFC software automatically connects the construction estimate, the price list items and measurements to the 3D CAD or BIM objects from which the measurements are acquired from and, in case of any changes to the IFC model, the construction estimate is automatically and dynamically updated.

Construction estimating integration

Construction estimating integration with the standard PriMus-IFC export formats

PriMus IFC allows you to account for all IFC entities in the BIM model.

The quantity surveyor can export the estimate in the widely used standard formats (Excel .XLSX, Word .DOCX, PriMus .DCF) so as to even continue to work with other software solutions to add further data if necessary. If additional data is integrated with PriMus, the links with the BIM entities are never lost.

Even if the bill of quantities data is updated with PriMus, any changes made to the project with the BIM software will automatically update the estimate too.

How Does PriMus-IFC work

How does PriMus IFC work?

With PriMus IFC you can open and view the IFC model in the program’s internal viewer. The model is then read in detail with all the IFC entities produced by the BIM software that originated it.

PriMus IFC allows you to select the individual IFC entities in the BIM model and prepare the relating quantity take-off of the entire project.
Each IFC BIM model entity is displayed with all the geometric properties and their extended IFC characteristics.
Entities can be assigned with work types, materials and rates while the quantity take-off process will automatically extract the individual measurements from each entity.
If a measurement is changed in the IFC file BIM model, this automatically causes a variation of the construction estimate, and consequently the project’s total cost.
Estimates and BoQs can be printed or exported in standard formats for further processing with other software.

PriMus IFC produces a single file that contains both the BIM model and the integrated quantity takeoff. Ultimately it’s as if each entity acquires new information relating to costs while the BIM model acquires a new view, the quantity take-off view.
